The workshop is based on the theme "Making Connections" where participants are taken on a journey of a project called Children in Permaculture to see the links between forest pedagogy and permaculture pedagogy for children. The project aims to improve the education of children informal, formal and non-formal learning through the development of curricula, lesson plans, films and other resources which will enable school and kindergarten leaders, parents and other educators to engage in a holistic, sustainable education with the children they are working in.
The first part of the workshop will be taking place outdoors in the forest, which will be the main space of inspiration and the goal will be for the participants to be able to make connections within nature and themselves through hand-on activities and reflections to see the bigger picture. Interacting in pairs and in groups, they will also get a chance to familiarize with the children in permaculture pedagogy.
The second part of the workshop will be indoors sharing the work of the project with the participants with a short presentation and guiding them on how they can use resources available to them.
There are no special requirements. In case of rain the participants are kindly asked to bring outdoor shoes/wellies, waterproofs and small mats to sit on. Max. 20 participants are welcomed to join the workshop of connections.
