The three dimensions of ESD game
Game about forest services or functions and their relevance within the three dimensions of sustainability and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Within this small game we will learn more about forest services and their relevance for ESD.
Every participant will get a larix-cone with a small piece of paper naming a forest-product. Than each person hast to put the cone (product) into a diagram, showing the different dimensions of sustainability in the forest (ecology, economy, social-culture).
The aim of the activity is to get into the dialogue about what service/product is supporting what!
The participants will be surprised, about how the different aspects of sustainability are relating with forests, forestry or forest products. It also might be interesting to hear about the relevance of different forest-ecosystem-services in the different countries the participants come from.
We will play our 20-minute-game in the forest. No special requirements are afforded, but please wear outdoor shoes and rain-protection if necessary.
